Hi, we are Katie and Paul, and Hawk’s Nest is our family’s getaway.

With three kids, a dog, and lives that move a mile a minute, escaping to the mountains helps us slow down and reset. We fell in love with this cabin the moment we saw the porch and the surrounding woods. Autumn here sealed the deal and it is still our favorite season of the year.

We spend as much time as we can at Hawk’s Nest, and when we cannot be here, we love sharing it with others who want to explore the Linville Gorge, hike new trails, make s’mores around the fire, or just enjoy a little quiet.

We are regular people with a regular family. No rental company. No mystery owners. Just a family who loves this place and wants guests to feel safe, relaxed, and welcomed from the moment they arrive.
